The sea is a walk away from me and the mountains too, but right now I’m finding solace in the beauty immediately surrounding me. What’s here, now.

The world is not suddenly different, it’s always been changing and will continue to do so. Kings and queens are men and women who share our fate.

Let this election not be a reflection of who we are as individuals, but what we need to learn as a whole. It’s a mirror of real equality, race, and social issues that we’ve been too quiet about for far too long. It’s a representation of our worst qualities and an opportunity to repair them.

This election isn’t tape over my mouth. Loud events can be microphones if we echo our own truths. So I won’t drag my feet. I won’t wallow in my disappointments. More importantly I won’t be quieter. I will be louder. I will be vulnerable. I will be fierce love and compassion.
